Terms

The rules for using DocuCRM.

By using docucrm.com or app.docucrm.com you agree to these terms. They're written in plain English so you can actually read them. Anything that looks like a surprise — isn't.

§01

Acceptance

These Terms of Service are a binding agreement between you (and any organisation you represent) and DocuCRM Labs Inc. By creating an account, signing a document, or continuing to use the service after we update these terms, you accept the latest version.

If you don't agree, don't use the service. There's no obligation to give a reason.

§02

What DocuCRM is

DocuCRM is a document-signing platform with a cryptographic audit trail. You can upload documents, add fields, route them to recipients for signature, and download a publicly verifiable receipt for every signed document.

The full feature set is available to every account at no cost. We may introduce a paid tier for advanced enterprise needs in the future, but the features that exist today will remain free.

§03

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your credentials safe. Tell us immediately at security@docucrm.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

Don't share a single account between people — give each teammate their own. You must be at least 16 years old to use DocuCRM, and you must have the legal authority to bind any organisation you represent.

§04

Your content

You own your documents, your recipient data, and everything else you put into the service. You grant us a limited licence to host, process, transmit, and display your content solely to provide the service to you.

We don't sell your data. We don't read your document contents for any purpose other than running the service. We don't train AI models on your content.

§05

Acceptable use

Don't use DocuCRM to:

  • Send documents to people without a legitimate business reason.
  • Distribute malware, phishing content, or anything that violates intellectual property rights.
  • Send signatures in someone else's name without their authorisation.
  • Resell or sublicense the service without our written consent.
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract source code or stored keys.
  • Interfere with the security of the service or other users.

We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. We will tell you why, in writing, except where doing so would defeat a security or legal investigation.

§06

Privacy

How we handle personal data is described in our privacy policy. The privacy policy is part of these terms by reference.

§07

Availability

We aim for 99.9% monthly availability. The service is provided as-is and as-available. Scheduled maintenance is announced at least 48 hours in advance, in-app and at status.docucrm.com.

Because the service is free, we don't offer financial service-level credits. We do, in practice, take incidents seriously and publish honest write-ups when we cause them.

§08

Termination

You can close your account at any time from account settings. We'll retain your data for thirty days afterwards in case you change your mind, then delete it. Signed envelopes you've already sent remain valid — the audit chain and public receipt don't depend on the account being active.

We can terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where reasonably possible.

§09

Disclaimers

DocuCRM provides tooling for electronic signatures and an independently verifiable audit trail. We do not provide legal advice and we do not guarantee that any specific signed document is enforceable in any specific jurisdiction — that depends on facts outside our control, including the regulatory framework that applies to you. Consult a lawyer for important decisions.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is”and we disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

§10

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or related to these terms or the service will not exceed the greater of (a) one hundred US dollars or (b) the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Since DocuCRM is free, (a) will typically apply.

Neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. This limitation does not affect liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

§11

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that we can't resolve informally will be heard in the state or federal courts located in New Castle County, Delaware.

Nothing in this clause limits any consumer-protection rights you have under the laws of the country where you live.

§12

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes are announced to all account holders by email at least thirty days before they take effect. If you keep using the service after a change, you accept the new terms.
